Each of these has strengths and weaknesses. Most include non-natives but allow you to filter to select only natives, but even then, they are not very precise about native ranges.

Statewide Nursery & Landscape Associations often have tools for matching the plant you need with growers who grow it.

Native Plants
These can help you figure out if a plant you are considering is native to your state or region.
- Virginia Plant Atlas is probably the most reliable and precise source for native plants in VA, based on the Flora of Virginia project.
- USDA Plants database takes a more national vantage point, but it sometimes seems to blur the lines: plants native elsewhere in the US can be labeled native in states where they were not native.

Native plant societies offer hordes of info on their websites, including lists of growers who specialize in native plants
